The exhibition counters the omnipresent mood of doom and gloom with works that use humor as an artistic strategy. While blatant clownery has survived, subtle, sharp, and often dark humor is gaining importance as an important antidote. It opens up new perspectives, becoming a driving force by enabling laughter even in places of fear and uncertainty. The exhibition delves into the world's stumbling blocks and examines humor as a means of insight and the possibility of reconciliation with the inadequacies of the present.

On Friday, September 5, at 7 p.m., Annette Indetzki, head of the cultural office, will open the last exhibition of the year. Afterwards, Milena Mercer (Kommunale Galerien Treptow-Köpenick) and Thorsten Alexander Kasper (frontviews e. V.) will introduce the concept. The current exhibition is a further development of a first chapter that was shown in December 2024 at roam projects e. V. under the direction of Helene Bosecker.
